Privacy Policy for Ougl Budget
This policy explains how Ougl Budget handles user data. The app is designed for personal budget management and for recording accounts, financial records, categories, budgets, and statistics on the user’s device. The app is developed by OuglSoft.
1. Privacy principle
The app works locally on the user’s device. It does not require account creation, does not connect to a developer-operated server, and does not send budget, account, or transaction data to the developer.
2. Data stored on the device
The app may store on the user’s device the data entered or created within the app, including:
- Accounts, balances, currencies, and exchange rates.
- Financial records, such as income, expenses, and transfers.
- Categories, budgets, notes, and related statistics.
- App settings, such as language, appearance, main currency, and lock options.
- Activity records related to import, export, and reset operations.
This data is used inside the app to provide its core functions, including displaying balances, calculating totals, generating reports, managing budgets, and handling import and export.
3. No data collection
The developer does not collect user data from inside the app and does not receive the content of accounts, transactions, notes, or files created by the user. The app does not include advertising, analytics tools, or third-party tracking tools.
4. No automatic backup
The app does not provide automatic or cloud backup and does not upload user data or app files to a developer-operated server. App data remains on the user’s device unless the user chooses to export or share it manually.
When data is exported or a file is shared outside the app, storing, transferring, or deleting that file is controlled by the user and by the app or service selected for storage or sharing.
5. Access lock and data protection
The app provides local lock options, such as a passcode and device lock when enabled in settings. These options help reduce unauthorized access from the device itself, but they do not replace securing the device with a strong password or lock code.
Lock settings remain on the device and are not sent to the developer.
6. Sharing data with third parties
The app does not share user data with the developer or with external parties. The user may share data personally by using export or sharing functions, or by saving files in external apps or services chosen by the user.
7. App permissions
The app requests only the permissions needed for its local functions. It does not use location, contacts, messages, camera, or microphone permissions to collect personal data.
8. Data retention and deletion
User data remains stored on the user’s device unless the user deletes it. Data can be deleted inside the app through deletion or reset options, or by uninstalling the app or clearing its data through the operating system settings.
If the user exports files outside the app, those files must be deleted manually from the place where they were saved.
9. Children’s data
The app is not directed to children and does not collect personal data about children. If the app is used on a child’s device, the data remains local to that device and is managed by the device owner or parent/guardian.
10. Data security
The app is designed to store data locally and reduce data transfer outside the device. Practical protection depends on the security of the user’s device, the way exported files are stored, and the apps or services the user chooses for file sharing.
11. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when new functions are added or when the app’s handling of data changes. The updated version will be published in the official location designated for the app’s privacy policy.
