Terms of Use
Last updated: 27 June 2026
These Terms of Use apply to Al-Moathen El-Chinguiti, a mobile Islamic application that provides prayer times, adhan and reminders, Qibla direction, the Holy Qur’an, adhkar, tasbih, educational cards, and general Islamic utility sections.
The application is created, developed, and owned by El Ougl Software SARL. By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the app.
1. Nature of the app
Al-Moathen El-Chinguiti is a helper application for Muslims. It helps users follow prayer times, reminders, Qibla direction, Qur’an reading, adhkar, tasbih, and Islamic educational content.
The app is a practical and educational tool. It is not a substitute for qualified scholars, local Islamic authorities, or official religious calendars where such reference is necessary.
2. License to use
El Ougl Software SARL grants the user a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal and lawful purposes on the user’s device.
Using the app does not transfer ownership of the app, code, design, trademarks, resources, sounds, icons, text arrangement, or any other app element.
3. Permitted use
The user may use the app for personal lawful purposes, including checking prayer times, enabling reminders, reading Islamic content, using tasbih, and adjusting app settings.
4. Prohibited use
- Copying, redistributing, selling, or publishing the app outside official channels without written permission.
- Modifying, reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract the source code except where the law expressly permits it.
- Removing ownership notices, brand identifiers, or rights statements.
- Using the app or its content in another product or commercial service without permission.
- Uploading a modified version of the app to any store, website, or distribution channel.
- Using the app in a way that damages it, disrupts its operation, or circumvents its intended functions.
- Using the name, logo, or visual identity in a way that suggests a partnership or approval that does not exist.
5. Islamic content
The app includes Islamic content such as Qur’anic text, adhkar, supplications, fiqh and etiquette cards, and virtue reminders. The company makes reasonable efforts to prepare, review, and improve this content, but human or technical errors may occur.
The fiqh and educational content is for general learning and reminder purposes. It is not a substitute for asking qualified scholars or religious authorities, especially in personal cases, unusual circumstances, or matters that depend on country, school of law, local fatwa, or individual situation.
If the user finds an error in a verse, hadith, reference, translation, ruling, or wording, the user should notify the company through the official contact channel so it can be reviewed and corrected where appropriate.
6. Holy Qur’an and Mushaf font
The app treats Qur’anic text with particular care. The Mushaf font and Qur’an display system are independent from the general interface font settings. Changing the interface font does not change the Mushaf font unless a dedicated Qur’an setting exists for that purpose.
The user must not alter Qur’anic text or republish it from the app in a way that causes error, disrespect, or incorrect attribution.
7. Prayer times and Qibla
Prayer times are displayed according to the selected location, city, calculation method, and related settings. Prayer times may differ between countries and Islamic authorities because calculation methods and official calendars differ.
Users should verify times with trusted local Islamic authorities when necessary, especially when travelling, in high-latitude regions, or where official calendars are used.
Qibla direction depends on location data, device sensors, and/or calculations. It may be affected by location accuracy, compass calibration, metal objects, or sensor issues. It should be treated as a helper tool, not an absolute guarantee.
8. Notifications and adhan
Delivery of notifications, reminders, and adhan depends on the app settings and the device operating system, including notification permission, exact alarm permission, battery restrictions, Do Not Disturb mode, volume, vibration, manufacturer restrictions, restart state, and system updates.
The company does not guarantee that every reminder will be delivered on every device at every time. Users who rely on reminders should verify device settings and not rely solely on the app where missing a reminder could cause harm.
9. External links and services
The app may open external links, such as the company website, privacy policy, contact page, or an external prayer-time update service. Such services are governed by their own terms and policies.
The company is not responsible for third-party content, changes, outages, or errors in external services not owned by the company.
10. Updates and changes
The company may update the app, change features, add or remove content, modify design, fix errors, or change how the app works when needed for improvement, security, legal compliance, or technical reasons.
Some features may require updating the app to the latest version.
11. Availability and errors
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. The company makes reasonable efforts to keep it useful and stable, but does not guarantee that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every device or operating-system version.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, El Ougl Software SARL is not liable for direct or indirect damage resulting from using the app or being unable to use it, including delayed reminders, different prayer times, device settings, external service issues, or reliance on content without verification where verification is needed.
13. Intellectual property
The app, its design, code, organization, interface, icons, resources, and materials created by the company are owned by or licensed to El Ougl Software SARL. Islamic source texts, such as the Qur’an and prophetic hadiths, retain their religious status and are not claimed as proprietary texts by the company.
The company owns, within the limits of the law, its arrangement, editing, translations, design, presentation, and app-specific implementation of the content.
14. Stopping use or uninstalling
The user may stop using the app or uninstall it at any time. Uninstalling or clearing app data may delete local settings and preferences.
15. Privacy
Use of the app is also governed by the Privacy Policy for Al-Moathen El-Chinguiti, which explains how the app handles location, settings, reminders, online updates, and contact messages.
16. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed, to the extent permitted by law, by the laws applicable to the company’s place of establishment, unless mandatory consumer-protection rules provide otherwise. The parties should first seek an amicable solution through direct contact.
17. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The updated version will be published on the official Terms of Use page for the app. Continued use of the app after publication means acceptance of the updated terms, within the limits permitted by law.
