Zad Al-Muslim Privacy Policy

This policy explains how El Ougl Software SARL (“OuglSoft”, “we”) handles data when you use Zad Al-Muslim.

1. Summary

• The app requires no account or sign-in.
• The app contains no advertising or in-app analytics SDK.
• Qur’an progress, favourites, plans, zakat records, settings, and cached prayer times are stored locally.
• Location is optional; a city can be selected manually.
• Online prayer-time updates send required coordinates and calculation choices to the AlAdhan service.

2. Data stored on your device

The app may store the selected city, coordinates, elevation and time zone; prayer calculation settings and corrections; language, theme, font, numerals and calendar preferences; cached timetables; favourites and pinned shortcuts; last-used content and usage counters; smart-tasbih counts and targets; Qur’an goals, page ranges and progress; Ramadan makeup days; personal worship-plan items; zakat tracking entries; and daily checklist completion.

This functional data is stored in the app’s private local preferences and databases. It is not uploaded to an OuglSoft account because the app has no account or synchronization service.

3. Location, city and sensors

Location is optional. If granted, the app may request an approximate or precise location to identify a city, calculate Qibla direction, and prepare prayer-time parameters. Android’s geocoding provider may process coordinates to resolve a city name. You can deny permission and select a city manually.

Qibla uses rotation, accelerometer, and magnetic-field readings on the device. These readings are processed while the feature is open and are not sent to OuglSoft.

4. Network processing and third parties

For an online monthly timetable, the app requests api.aladhan.com with latitude, longitude, year, month, calculation method, Asr school, and high-latitude setting. AlAdhan processes the request under its own terms and policy. If the request fails, the app may use cached or local data.

Android’s geocoding provider and your email provider are separate third parties. Visiting the OuglSoft website is also separate from app use and may produce ordinary hosting logs and website traffic measurements.

5. Android permissions

• Internet: prayer-time updates and external links.
• Approximate and precise location: optional city, Qibla, and prayer-time features.
• Vibration: optional feedback for the smart tasbih and related interactions.

The app does not request background-location access.

6. What the app does not do

• It does not require an account, build an advertising profile, or sell personal data.
• It does not include advertising or an in-app analytics SDK.
• It does not request camera, microphone, contacts, or messaging access.
• It does not upload Qur’an progress, favourites, worship plans, tasbih counts, or zakat records to OuglSoft.

7. Retention and deletion

Local data remains until you change it, clear the app’s data, or uninstall it. Android backup is disabled for the app, and OuglSoft operates no cloud account that can restore this data. Clearing data or uninstalling may therefore remove progress and plans permanently.

8. Your choices

You can deny location and select a city manually, edit or delete local plans and records, clear app data, or uninstall the app. A feature tied to a denied permission may be limited.

9. Support communications

If you email us, we process the address, message, and attachments you choose to send so that we can respond. This support exchange is separate from the app’s local data.

10. Security, children and international processing

The app uses HTTPS for the timetable request and private app storage for local data, but no system can be guaranteed completely secure. The app is general-purpose and is not designed to collect children’s data. A parent or guardian should review location use where appropriate. Third-party providers may process technical data in other countries under their own terms.

11. Changes and contact
